COVID \u2013 19<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic declaration, and as a result of high transmissibility levels followed by quick dissemination among population, we inform that we are temporary suspending programed activities regarding appointments and surgeries. This applies to treatments that can be postponed with no prejudice of short, medium or long-term visual health. Such decision follows World Health Organization and Directorate-General for Health\u2019s guidelines, as well as recommendations by Portuguese Ophthalmology Society and Portuguese Medical Association.<\/p>\n

The goal is to reduce unnecessary risk of virus exposure caused by the obvious need of inter-personal communication.
